A well balanced meal should include the following portions on your plate:
1. Healthy fats- things like avocado, walnuts, almonds, pistachios, nut butters (try to keep away from peanut butter), Olive Oil, Flaxseed
2. Fiber- This makes you feel fuller right away
3. Protein- Helps you stay fuller for longer. The fat also helps communicate to your hormones to tell you to stop eating.
