6 Different Foods to Help Aid Your Detox...

When we start talking about detoxing your body we are talking about supporting your bodies detox system. This includes, but is not limited to your kidneys, liver, gastrointestinal tract, your skin and immune system.


These various foods help aid in the process by either supporting your gut, reducing inflammation, and supporting your immune system.


Overall, it is a complicated process. However, if you have toxic overload in the body, this can stall weight loss. So it's great if you can learn to detox on occasion and cleanse your body of toxins.


Here are some of the foods that help aid in detoxing:


1. Tumeric

This works as an anti-inflammatory in the liver, research shows.


2. Asparagus

The Amino Acids help support liver cells against toxins. It works as a natural diuretic which will help flush excess toxins from your system


3. Lemon

A 2014 study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food found that the citric acid in lemons can protect liver function and prevent oxidative (Stress-related) damage.


4. Avocado

Fatty acids in avocados help protect against damage cause by a power liver toxin called d-galactosamine.


5. Green Tea

Helps to keep body balanced and protects the body against free radicals that can cause aging and degenerative disease.


6. Apples

This fruit has a fiber called Pectin. It helps purge toxins from the bloodstream and helps lower LDL Cholesterol.
